It had to happen sometime…<\/p>\n

In Andiamo’s five-year history, she’s been known to be an agitator, instigator, temptor, and even a destroyer of romantic relationships. She has cast her waves far and wide with great fury when it came to testing and ultimately crushing loving relationships. Which, until they met with Andiamo, were relatively blissful and harmonious. On the flipside, Andiamo has proven to be a hotbed for meaningless flings and loveless yet passionate trysts among people who were but strangers before coming aboard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

No one can answer why, or even try to fathom Andiamo’s strange forces when it came to the love\/lust thing. I just accepted it as fact, and trudged on.<\/p>\n

But now, things are different. Things will never be the same. \ud83d\ude2e<\/p>\n

Andiamo was recently the stage for, dare I say… a MARRIAGE PROPOSAL! That’s right. The pendulum has swung to the other extreme, at long last.<\/p>\n

On a recent sail through San Blas with a group of four hardy Canadians, Glen (a fireman) posed the question to Holly (a salon owner). He previously consulted with the Andiamo crew to make the moment perfect. Karen and I determined that sunset at the Holandes Cays would prove to be a valid location. There would be cheese and champagne waiting aboard, while Glen brought Holly ashore to a deserted island to set up the moment. He (nauseating romantic that he is) chose to hide the ring underneath a seashell on the beach. He then coaxed Holly (as slyly as he could) to pick up the seashell. She took the bait and that was it. She was floored. The answer would be yes.<\/p>\n

They swam back to the boat, and gave everyone else the news. Champagne and toasts flowed through the night. Nick and Tammy, their long-married travel-mates, proceeded to give them tips on how to make the upcoming marriage work. I, the victim of one crash and burn marriage (albeit a 13-year one, and yes, Andiamo was involved!), chose to sit that one out. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

So let’s give a HUGE congrats to Glen and Holly, and here’s hoping that this pivotal event turns the tide on Andiamo’s anti-cupid forces once and for all. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
