April, 2005:

Checking out the Utila Caves!

Here’s another set of archive photos that I’ve been trying to restore from our dreaded server fiasco of a couple of months ago. I have a few more updates that I can restore and will try to get them in the right chronological order.

One day, after “Semana Santa” was over, I was at Tranquila, the usual watering hole, talking to Anne, a dive instructor from Sweden. She mentions that she finally has a day off the next day and was planning on checking out the freshwater caves on the other side of the island. I had heard of these caves too and have been wanting to check them out. I tell her that I’ll go along if she’ll have me. So the next day, we line up some bikes, and despite some logistical setbacks while we tried to get ready to go, we head out for the caves! These pictures are from that adventurous day.

On the way back from the caves, we pass a large stable on the road past the airport. Anne, being quite the horse person (it’s what she does back in Sweden), says she wants to stop by and check out the horses. I’m in no big hurry, so what the heck…

Here's a pretty big one.

Well, I’m trying to get out of “outraged” mode so I can try to focus on rebuilding my postings back up to date as much as possible. The worst thing is because my laptop crashed, alot of the pics that I had posted, particularly of my birthday, which was a very good and special time for me, are gone. I’m hoping that I can get a copy of those pics from Raf when he gets back to Belgium.

I’ll be writing up some kind of recap of our time in Roatan, and then getting the lost pics up as soon as possible.

I’m just really bummed about this whole thing, that’s all.

Well the good news is that I have some pictures of your birthday…
Not so much though, but it’s better than nothing, I guess,
I really feel sorry for all the sh*t that has happened to you lately,
all I can do from here is cheer you up once and awhile when I get a chance to… Hang in there sweetie!

Oh no Tonster!! That really sucks – I’m just happy I got the see the pics and enjoy all the beautiful places you visited. I hope you can get them from Raf – don’t go crazy over it.
Love and Hugs,

Shit happens, and happens, and happens.

So, it’s been a gremlin week something horrible. First, my laptop crashes majorly, destroying everything I had on it (my backup drive crashed about 3 weeks ago). So most of my pics are gone, along with so much other stuff.

Then, my WONDERFUL *being facetious* web hosting company decides that they are going to move my account to another server, but they never notify me, and keep me accessing my old server for updates for 2 weeks after they have already set up my account on the new server. Then, they TAKE DOWN THE OLD SERVER, with all my updates that I’ve been posting to the site for the past 2 or so weeks! Now they are telling me that they can’t update the new server with my updates because the data is gone!!! So that’s why my last 4 or so entries for April are gone now. Thanks alot Hosted Today!!! The worst part is because my laptop crashed, many of the pics that I have posted up here, are now gone forever.

Let’s not even get into what’s happening with the boat.

Not a happy camper.
