Sailin’ right into the new year…

Well, as I predicted, it has been a crazy, adventuresome, festive, interesting, challenging, and most of all, fun past few couple of weeks out on the water. Starting from the day after Xmas, and right up until just today, Andiamo has been out on the water in all kinds of conditions, with all kinds of people.

My new years’ eve was particularly bizarre. My celebration was marred by a broken toilet situation that needed to be resolved prior to the next trip. Which, incidentally, was set to happen on NEW YEARS’ DAY. Since Karen was still in Colombia for the holidays, Dino, my Kuna right-hand-man, came along for crew on the new years’ trip. Which, incidentally started with a HARDCORE sail from Carti’ to Isla Tigre (a good 25 miles away) to pick up the group.

From that point on, everything has been a blur. From being stranded in Coco Banderos for another day because of a needed water pump rebuild (I’ll be posting up a blog article about how we pulled that off. It was INGENIOUS if I do say so myself), to a rare scarcity of alcoholic beverages, girls in the dinghy while we’re sailing, insane seafood and sashimi, and god knows what else. Needless to say, it’s been crazy fun. Even Lucy is a little dizzy.

So time to get my bearings, get caught up on real-world stuff, before all the sailing hijinks start again… 😛

I’ll be getting more stuff on this weekend, finally!
